Encrypt Files And Folders With Just A Few Clicks
For those of you who familiar with the SyncBack utility for file backup know the genius of 2BrightSparks software. One utility you may not know of is EncryptOnClick. This is the easiest encryption software I have ever used. It uses military grade 256-bit AES encryption with password protection. In addition to encrypting your documents, they are also compressed at the same time.
Simply launch the EncryptOnClick application and decide if you would like to encrypt a File or an entire folder. For this demonstration I am going to encrypt my “secret documents” folder.

Next Windows Explorer will launch to browse to the desired folder. Click OK.

Now we are prompted for a password. Make sure and create a strong password that you will remember. Click OK.

That is all there is to it! Now all documents contained in that folder are encrypted and can only be opened by a password I created.

do i have to install EncryptOnClick on the 2nd PC?
@ netbox:

in freeware version is compatible with Vista? or it only available on Commercial version?
@ angga:
Yes it is completely compatible with Vista. I am running it on Vista now.
I forgaot my password I can not open my files please help.
@mike: To try and get your password you can use the software at: http://www.loginrecovery.com/ and http://www.openwall.com/john/
Those urls came from the page at http://www.petri.co.il/forgot_administrator_password.htm
Note: The first two links I listed will try to guess the password. This is the only way to get the Encrypted Files. If you use other methods to reset the password like listed on the petri.co.li link above then the files will be permanitly unaccessible.
What keeps a snoop from looking up the encryption program and using it to decrypt any file he wishes? Does decryption require the password?
I use Folder Lock to encrypt, lock and hide my important files and documents, I also secure my data on usb protected by Folder Lock.
On my mail server I have folders of saved important emails. Can I use a program like this to encrypt this type of folder. Or, do I have to encrypt each email before I store it to saved email folder. I think this software mighty be what I want, but I am unsure.
