Faster Installation of Firefox Extensions

If you are like me, you often install new extensions in Firefox. However, it can get annoying when you have to allow each site you want to install install from to prompt you to install an extension.

I have now disabled this. It is quite easy to do in Firefox 2.0, but I do not recommend doing it if you are not very computer savvy or doing it for someone not very computer savvy, as spyware or the like may accidentally be installed. If you are ready…

1. Go to Edit>Preferences on Linux or Tools>Options on Windows.

2. Navigate to Security in the window that appears.

3. Uncheck the box next to Warn me when sites try to install add-ons.

4. Click close to apply settings

Now you should be able to quickly install extensions without much delay. There shouldn't be any security issues if you can identify where you shouldn't install extensions from.
