Brain Controlled TV Spells Doom for Relationships

This interesting item from Wired News got me thinking….

A new technology in Japan could let you control electronic devices without lifting a finger simply by reading brain activity. The "brain-machine interface" developed by Hitachi Inc. analyzes slight changes in the brain's blood flow and translates brain motion into electric signals.

Hitachi's scientists are set to develop a brain TV remote controller letting users turn a TV on and off or switch channels by only thinking.

For every guy in a relationship, this has to be your worst nightmare, especially if they let you control your TV's zoom function…  "I can tell where you are looking, you bastard!"

This will prompt conversations about "does she look better than me?" and "You don't love me anymore!"  I'm sure it will come with a warning label for non-single people.

Cool stuff otherwise.
